Since 2002, Kunst und Handwerk vom Künstler has organised handicrafts markets every year behind the Marian column in Am Hof square in the old centre of Vienna. Our Easter market 2023 will take place from 24 March - 10 April, and our Christmas market from 17 November - 23 December.

As an organiser, we offer our public an innovative market atmosphere. In 2005 a long-standing member of the association developed a concept for our markets which has been realised with our own funds.

The way one can walk around our market stalls makes every stall into a little shop. We have thus created a small ‘handicrafts village' which gives our visitors the opportunity to shop in a protected atmosphere in all weathers.

As a non-profit organisation, we promote the visibility of artistic and handicraft work. Increasing the appreciation of handicrafts in our society is also one of our objectives.
